As reported previously, actress Emma Watson was to be a guest on the popular talk show Late Night with David Letterman. That interview took place last night, and CBS has officially released this video excerpt of this very funny interview where they joke about a wardrobe mishap at the UK premiere of Half-Blood Prince and how Emma is enjoying still working on the film series. You can also see many photos of Emma arriving at the Studio in New York City before and after the interview here in our Image galleries. We will have  video of the full interview up in our galleries shortly, stay tuned! UPDATE: We now have the full interview here for download in our video galleries. REMINDER too that Dan Racliffe will be a guest on Letterman tonight at 11:35 as well

Maybe Dan will “play the hero” and take Letterman down a notch or two for embarrassing Emma. What an insensitive git Dave is.

As for the picture. When coming back from commercial, there is an overhead shot where you can see Letterman showing Emma the pictures before he shows them to us. I am sure if she had objected, the second picture would no have been shown.

This was typical Dave, you either like or you do not.

Well done Emma. She certainly knows how to hold her own.

Wardrobe gaff? At lease she was wearing underware unlike the Britany Spears incident. lol

thanks Steffi1387 for the link.

David letterman is an appallingly bad interviewer! Does he have a chip on his shoulder, or what?! I agree with the commenter above who says he was passive-aggressive.

Electric cars and liberal arts? what the …? six and a half minutes into the interview before the words “Harry Potter” were even mentioned.

Good on Emma for staying charming and clever

This is the second time I think he has been awful to her. He is such a pompous jerk. I hope Dan lets him have it tonight.

Didn’t like this interview…Letterman tried to put her in an imbarassing situation…she managed it well, though. LOVE her outfit.

Does anyone know why Emma is wearing two different dresses in the pics from her getting in and out of the show?? :? I love the white one!! ^^

I wonder if it’s possible they had arranged that so that she could address the incident and defuse it. Damage control, so to speak.

I don’t think Dave was too harsh with her… I mean did you see what he did to Paris Hilton??? he acted like a doting grandpa to Emma compared to that!

I don’t think Emma has officially stated which “Ivy League” college she will be attending… But it is in NYC.. So you figger it out! lol…

In most cases, David (and many talk show hosts) will review the questions with the guests before the actual show and during commercial breaks, like “Is it ok to talk about this?” So most seemingly embarassing moments like that are actually planned. ;)
