Check it out! The flying motorbike belonging to Sirius Black is back, as witnessed in new location photos for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Although not so airborne as in the books, you can see these new pics (more here all courtesy of HP4U) of stunt doubles for Hagrid and Harry zooming along the Dartford-Thurrock River Crossing tunnel and bridge express way in Kent, England as they did a sequence to be used for the Seven Potters scene. Neither Dan Radcliffe nor Robbie Coltrane were present for the filming. HP4U.co.uk reports that "the bulk of the shoot was centered on obtaining wide
shots of the pair being chased into the tunnel. Harry wearing a grey
hoodie with a stripe down the arm and wand at the ready, Hagrid, in his
familiar huge coat and sporting his goggles sped at around 30 mph in
real time speed, weaving in and out of traffic with great effect. For
Friday morning, we were treated to further perspective shots of the
pair racing through the tunnels, despite the oncoming traffic, weaving
in and out with Hagrid seemingly kicking out at any vehicles which came
too close and Harry casting spells to his rear."
Other filming for the scenes will take place at both Leavesden and on location, rumored to be Hartfordshire over the next few weeks.
Thanks much to HP4U.co.uk, ONTD, SS, and all who owled!

I’m pessimistic. did you happen to see hbp? he cut the first 2 chapters of the book and put harry hitting on a waitress in a train station…..nothing is sacred to this man. i know its not going to be like the book, but hes proven to me he doesnt care about being ANYTHING like the book.

amazing! just like the philosopher’s stone! I hope Harry does the whole Accio Hagrid thing, because that’s one of the key parts to this film i think. Plus Hedwig and Mad-Eye’s deaths best not be a HUGE thing, because there not in the books, it happens really fast so i don’t want it to be like “OMG HEDWIG! NOOOO CRIES” yeah, hes an absaloute legend, but hes a bloody bird. Don’t cry, because there’s plenty of crying bits in this. Tonks and Lupin, Dobby and Voldemort. Poor Tom, why did he have to die?!! I’m joking.

[: I’m kind of sad that we lose the flying, but on account of this will look more real, and have a greater effect on screen I guess I’ll live.
Plus, we still get the scene don’t we? [:

I hope that this film is closer to the book than the HBP was. I was very disappointed with that film. It was like he took four or five parts of the book and made up the rest.

The FLYING WILL BE IN THE MOVIE!! We’re not going to have pictures of that because it will be filmed at Leavesden. They probably just added a part where they end up on the freeway to make it even MORE suspenseful. But they definitely fly. what’s the point of a “flying motorbike” if it DOESN’T fly?!

I had an idea that maybe they do fly but instead of making Harry and Hagrid crash they just land somewhere and have to drive the rest of the way. I hope they do that at least. It would be cool to watch.

@splinch: Well Steve Kloves has written the script for every Potter film except one and I think he’s done a brilliant job so far. And he Does keep in alot. Pretty much every scene in HBP was in the book (give or take a few) but I agree ALOT was missing but that’s because HBP was a tricky book to adapt because so many of the scenes are memories and it’s a very emotional book, but I still think they did a great job capturing the overall theme. It sets up Deathly Hallows like it’s suppose to do.

you guys i’m sure this is just a small bit of the chase, dont freak out!! maybe it’s the beginning of the chase or something…. they’ll probably do the whole flying scene in the studio… so we wont be seeing anything!!
