I thought Doyle’s orchestrations were lush, and his themes were symphonic. Think of the variety of motifs he employed in GOF — two waltzes (!), a classic British Brass Band piece, meditative music (“Harry in Winter” still moves me), and the incredible action sequences. OOP was a huge disappointment to me musically, I can barely recall a single theme. I am hoping this soundtrack lives up to the anticipation caused by the titles listed here.

I think my original comment disappeared, but I wanted to chime in that I loved Doyle’s GOF score. It was masterful. I mean, 2 waltzes? A British Brass Band march? “Harry in Winter?” The action scenes, like the underwater scene? Even the song of the merpeople - awesome. I loved it, and I am a soundtrack fan, period. I thought OOP was forgettable. Please God, make this one as good as the track titles sound, and please bring back John Williams (or Patrick Doyle!) for DH!!!

Wow, if you didn’t know what happened, those titles would spoil a lot (can’t let my mom see them). I’m very interested to hear The Weasley Stomp. It just sounds cool. I can’t wait!

I wonder what the Weasley Stomp will be… o.O
I like how Track 13 is “School!” with an exclamation point. It’s just not “School,” but “School!”—I don’t know why, but it makes me laugh… :)

Does anyone else think that When Ginny Kissed Harry sounds like an episode of Friends?
