Several pieces of news relating to several actors seen in the Harry Potter films. First up: Jason Isaacs (Lucius Malfoy). Jason, who has been busy at work on a small budget film "Skeletons," took time out to come to NYC over the weekend for a tribute to Harold Pinter. At the event he did a reading of "The Dumb Waiter" along with his Brotherhood co-star Brian O'Byrne (Colin). Thanks so much to Char of JasonIsaacsPhotoAlbumsOnline, we can see video of the always very funny Jason joking around with fans after the event about his costume for Deathly Hallows. Also, you can watch a short and very intense film Jason made called "The Rain Horse" here via the BBC.

Bonnie Wright has been featured in Time For Kids. Thanks to our Order partner Bonnie Wright online. com we know that the article reads: "The villainous Lord Voldemort is not the only force Harry Potter battles in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, in theaters July 15. In the series' latest film, the teenage wizard must also fight a growing crush on his best friend Ron's younger sister, Ginny. She is played by actress Bonnie Wright, 18. Once incredibly shy, Ginny has blossomed into a confident and talented witch. Everyone at Hogwarts takes notice, especially Harry. "It's really nice to see how Ginny has come into her own," Wright told TFK. "She's grown up a lot throughout the films." There is also a new photo of Bonnie in the June issue of Girls Life magazine, with just a very short mention of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.

Megan from LewisLovers.com let us know part two of her interview with Matt is now online, where the Neville Longbottom actor briefly talks about various merchandising, clothes and his love of the great Beatles music group.

Finally, Misha from Feltbeats.com owled to say the CD from Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy) is now available for download via  Amazon.com. Enjoy!

Thanks so much to Char, Megan, Misha and BonnieWrightOnline!

Cool, I didn’t know that Matt likes the Beatles. In fact, I don’t know very much about him at all. Must read up on him. Would love to see the John Lennon t-shirt he was talking about. One of my favorite items of clothing is a Beatles t-shirt I bought on my first, and so far only, trip to America.

No, Bonnie. Ginny has grown up a lot in the BOOKS – she has no development at all in the films, she is still shy in OotP!

WickedLoz, how about you wait to see HBP before you pass judgement on Bonnie’s comments as she would have been including HBP in her estimation of Ginny’s growth as a character.

Apart from which, Ginny was not shy in OOTP, the film, certainly not like she was in COS, or maybe you missed her interaction with Harry on the bridge when they were discussing Dumbledore’s Army, she wasn’t shy to talk to him there. You could even go back to GOF where she was teasing Ron about Victor Krum in the tent right in front of Harry. I’d hardly call her shy in either of those moments.

mouse68 – I am not basing my comments on HBP, seeing as Bonnie was quoted saying films – as in plural, more than one – not the one HBP film.

As for OotP.. She had next to no lines, aside from “Reducto!” and her longing looks. She spoke to Harry’s back on the bridge, and felt insulted and put out when Hermione brought up Cho. Its not the Ginny who grew up in the books at all. In GoF, all her lines were directed at Ron or the Twins, except for one scene she spoke to both Harry and Hermione about Ron’s dating troubles. In the PS, PoA, GoF and OotP movies, she was basically treated like an extra.

I always surprises me to see that Isaacs seems so super nice when in the wizarding world he potrays such a mean character.

Guess That Book

Mrs. Dursley was thin and blonde and had nearly twice the usual amount of neck, which came in very useful as she spent so much of her time craning over garden fences, spying on the neighbors.
