If they’d left the poster alone, this would have looked good. But, no. They have to ruin don’t they? :(

Ho, boy, somebody smack the graphics Department at Warner over the head.
I love how they’re trying to jump on the current train of trendy in poster typography by setting the text at an angle (and even.. oh gasp! after years of brand recognition FINALLY dare to cut off part of the HP Logotype in all its fuglyness) and still manage to remain painfully, horribly generic and formulaic with their ’shopped to death character montages.

Oh, and are those bits of the London skyline niftly ’shopped together to look like Hogwarts Castle from afar? Oh, Warner Artists: you rascals, you!

Remember that GoF teaser poster of just Harry’s silhouette? Yeah, these things might be a nice start in the right direction.
As long as you keep your grubby little hands off the smoke brushes.
