There's No Business Like Snow Business for Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Florida

In perhaps a fun bit of Magic, or Muggle might at work, early concept art for the Wizarding World of Harry Potter theme park is proving to become reality. The Orlando Sentinel reports today that just as we saw in this artwork for the Hogsmeade village portion of the theme park currently under construction in sunny Florida, a company has been hired to make the village a snow covered site. The paper states that:

Universal has signed a special-effects contract with SnowMasters Evaporative Snow Systems Inc. The Anderson, Ala.-based company builds fake snow-making machines and offers everything from blowing snow to ground blankets to faux icicles.

No word if Snowball fights will be available ;)  Construction on The Wizarding World of Harry Potter theme park attraction at Universal Orlando continues, with the park set to open sometime in 2010.

Once they do that us Florida citizens can finally claim we have snow for a good amount of time. Instead of the occasional blimp that comes once in a blue moon! Also, this stuff won’t mess up roadways, houses, etc.!!! How awesome!!

Wow! 2010 used to seem so far away, but there’s only about 7 months to go now… I can’t wait.

I’m confused. Is it going to be snowy year round, or just during the holiday season?

Yay snow in Florida! I once played in fake snow, but it was more of a Giant clump of ice, I was temped to shave some off and make a snow cone, but it was too dirty.

Can’t wait! I live in south Florida so it’s about a two hour to four hour drive.
