I think (hope) he’s just curious and fiddling around. Harry playing the piano seems a bit too out of character….

I think Harry is just getting ready to vocalize… he probably wants to audition for the school chorus, the one Professor Flitwick conducts, remember? “Double, double toil and trouble, fire burn and cauldron bubble”
And Slughorn might be helping him as a substitute croaking toad… untile he gets a proper one!

Maybe if out of class, Harry went to Prof. Flitwick and ask to teach him how to play the piano. :))

Perhaps there’s a charm or hex for giving yourself musical ability. Maybe Harry is one of those fortunate people who can play by ear. More likely, he’s just plunking around on the keys out of curiosity, boredom or it could be that he is pretending that he isn’t paying attention to what is going on around him.
As someone has already said, this may not be a still from the movie at all. Don’t you just love all the possibilities? ;-)

I’d love to see Harry playing in the movie.

I’m bringing a pillow to the movie, so if Harry suddenly starts pounding out some Beethoven, I’ll have something to scream bloody murder into.
Come on, what are they thinking!?

Either way, let’s start a contest for what song or music he might be playing. I vote for “Memories”.
