The first photo of actor Dan Radcliffe filming for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is now available. UK tabloid The Mirror is running a photo (in print only at the moment) of Dan as Harry Potter, with the article noting "the mist thickens around wand-wielding Daniel Radcliffe in a forest scene." Thanks to Snitchseeker, we can now see a scan of the photo, here.
Filming began last month on the two parts for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, with Part One due in theaters November, 2010 and Part Two in July, 2011.
Thanks much to SS and Emma for emailing!

Boy, he does look older. It also looks like he’s gained weight, like he’s been working out or something. Either that or he has on alot of layers, lol. Cool!

SILVER DOE!! squee
That gives us a bit of a clue about where the split will be, yeah? If that’s the Silver Doe scene (and I can’t think what else it would be…) and they’re filming for DH Part 1, then the split will definitely be after that.
I’m still gunning for it being at the end of ‘Malfoy Manor’ when Dobby dies…maybe when he buries him. What was it that David Hayes said about the split? That it would be at an emotionally satisfying point? doesn’t remember

There are several others on the ‘net now, as well. I’m so excited! I probably should wait until HBP is out to start getting pumped about DH, though :P

OH MY GAWD!!! He looks so old! I mean not like olllld but more like mature comparing to other HP films. Okay, he looks kinda worldly like he has everything on his shoulders! COOL! i love it! He looks like Harry the most in this film!

The silver doe scene took place in the dark, not in mist. I fervently hope that the trio look appropriately dishevelled during their camping period. They aren’t using camping sites with showers, they are fugitives and Harry has a huge price on his head. When Harry sees his reflection in a mirror at Malfoy Manor even he does not recognise himself, stinging jinx aside, because his hair is down to his shoulders.

Daniel Radcliffe walking has never made me so dualistic. It’s like a happy meal without the extra happy.

its nice to see you alldiscussing what scene this pic could be from. but to be honest none of you probably have it right, it could be any scene in the forest any at all. not sure about the silver doe scene coz as earlier comments made yeah that part was supposed to be set after christmas and in snow but then again i could b wrong they may add the snow digitally later. again not sure about the cut off point but shell cottage really would be appropriate because as heyman says its gonna be an emotional cut. that way the final movie can kick off with gringotts bank and then of course the finale that every potter fan has been so desperatley waiting for the battle of hogwarts. now donno if anyone agrees but comments if you do. who think the final battle should be at least an hour long or more.

I think that depends on what you consider the final battle. The moment the enter hogwarts till right before the prologue then yes, but not them shooting spells for an hour.
I think he looks AMAZING! And Daniel was pretty buff the last two months or so for Equus so with the thick sweater and probably a shirt under it, I am not surprised he looks broad and bigger. Equus only ended a month ago. I agree with whoever posted up there..this could really be any forest scene. Unless they changed up the silver doe scene completely, this doesn’t look like it.
In that scene, he was guarding the tent while Hermonie slept and was cold and tired and just sounded like he was a little more rough. Plus, it was snowing/freezing.

Aren’t they going to be shooting both movies at the same time? They don’t shoot movies in sequence as we see them in the actual films. They shoot them to accommodate location/setting/time of year and the availability of the cast. So, this scene could be any scene involving a winter forest. It definitely isn’t a spring forest.
