The first photo of actor Dan Radcliffe filming for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is now available. UK tabloid The Mirror is running a photo (in print only at the moment) of Dan as Harry Potter, with the article noting "the mist thickens around wand-wielding Daniel Radcliffe in a forest scene." Thanks to Snitchseeker, we can now see a scan of the photo, here.
Filming began last month on the two parts for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, with Part One due in theaters November, 2010 and Part Two in July, 2011.
Thanks much to SS and Emma for emailing!

Definitely has to be one of the forest scenes, it’s fall by the leaves, so too early for the Silver Doe, which isn’t till after Christmas.

“By then Daniel will be 21 but the magic of make-up will keep him a schoolboy for as long as it takes.”
I really hope that’s not strictly necessary. We really don’t want “The Curious Case of Benjamin Potter” going on. ;)
That’s a pretty nice looking sweater for being stuck in the woods for 5 months… Still, good pic, liking the hair, more like in PoA, when the hair was perfect. However, the hair in this pic could be a bit messier, but whatever. Still… FIRST PICTURE OF THE FINAL FILMS!!!!
I’m excited and totally bummed at the same time. This is going to continue for a couple years.

Ya know in the book, Harry gets a look at himself in the mirror over the Malfoy’s fireplace and it surprised to see how long his hair has grown (shoulder length?) I am wondering if they will have him grow rangier and less “groomed” as the movie progresses.

I hope harry doesn’t get all mangy by the end of the film. I mean a little unkept maybe but not mangy.
This is crazy to be getting the first shot from DH and we haven’t even see HBP yet.

i think that jumper makes him look really old and a little dull, but hay ho, it’ll be great in the end!
