Yesterday, we told you of the numerous media outlets carrying a story which claimed actress Emma Watson supposedly announced via Twitter that she had been accepted into Yale. Thanks to, we now know these claims were indeed quite false. As posted on her official website, Emma Watson does NOT have a Twitter account, and the Hermione Granger actress is "still trying to decide whether she wants to attend University in the UK or the USA, and hasn't accepted any placements at this time."

Thanks so much to EmmaWatsonOfficial!

A speedy reaction by Jo of EWO about the rumours. I still think that Emma Watson will actually wait for the responses of all the Universities that she has applied to, before beginning the final decision making process. And then, if she feels like it, she will anounce the place that she has selected. Just like any responsible person would do.

However, this again shows the “standards” of journalism of many Internet “News” outlets and their inability to confirm simple facts before posting anything. Everbody is copying everybody. And in some cases, even after the rumour is busted, some still cling to it. Like Emma Watson still is working for Chanel … which she isn´t.

Just goes to show you should not believe everything you hear on the internet.

Yale!?!? No better be Harvard. Sorry Emma 10 year plus playing Hermione. Its the the maroon of Harvard. Plus the values of Yale more like Slytherin . No house elf rights at Yale. haha
