Jason Isaacs To Film Role as Lucius Malfoy for Deathly Hallows in June, July

More news now on the filming schedule for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Actor Jason Isaacs was asked at the Empire Awards over the weekend about his return to the role of Lucius Malfoy for the final films in the Harry Potter series. Jason said that he was "heartbroken" they were coming to an end, but was very glad they are making two films out of Deathly Hallows. Jason specifically noted he will be filming his part as Death Eater Lucius Malfoy in June and July of this year, and a bit more at the end of the year. jason is so excellent! did you hear what he said about the decision to split them? paraprasing : i think its a horrible idea. i think they should make it into sixteen parts so i could work on them for the rest of my life!

Filming his part in July? I agree this doesn’t tell us much because he is in the first, the middle, and the last of DH. It will be nice to see him in the movie again.

They must be filming all the stuff with the trio first…but I wonder which scene they’re filming over the summer? It could be the battle since that takes place over the summer in the book….or the shack scene when Snape dies or all the Malfoy Manor stuff…those are all the scenes with Lucius that I can remember.

Wow. It’s amazing to see how much they kick the good, interesting people out of the movies so that their screen time is about two minutes total, and then finally bring them back. (Like Snape, for example) There’s too much missing. At least we get to see him as he rots in Azkaban and the whole “Malfoy Manor” scene in Deathly Hallows.
