The first posters posters for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
have now been officially released. The first one (courtesy Yahoo) shows a closeup of Harry, with Dumbledore reflected in his glasses. A second one from MSN, seen here in our galleries, shows more of Harry, pointing his wand (and sporting a most curious shirt). The third new poster, here in our galleries as well, features Professor Dumbledore turning to look at something, and is without his hat.
Thanks to Bekki and everyone who emailed!

Love the 6. I guess they can’t give us Snape, for those who don’t read the books, but still would love to see a group shot at least, with the trio and D and Snape; that wouldn’t give too much away.

For those complaining about the lack of Snape, you just have to accept that they are not going to be giving him too much publicity at this stage. There are many people (in fact probably the majority of the filmgoing audience, even though rabid book fans like us don’t like to accept that) who only watch the movies and they aren’t about to give away the big secret in pre-publicity. Why do you think Alan Rickman never talks about Snape very much in interviews? He doesn’t want to spoil it either.
As for including Snape in a group shot, it would in fact give something away to non-book readers if Snape suddenly started turning up on posters when he hasn’t before (unless he was on the poster for the original film which I can’t remember right now except that it had a lot of characters on it).
Wait until they are publicising DH, you will get your Snape publicity then.
