Clip from "Half-Blood Prince" Airs at End of Oscars
February 22, 2009, 11:15 PM
As promised, a very brief clip from Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince was broadcast tonight at the end of the Oscar awards. However, this was part of a montage segment of other films with no sound included, and most of the footage appeared to be taken from one of the earlier trailers. UPDATE: It is now on YouTube here, thanks to UHP!
What we did see included brief shots of Quidditch, Draco on the Hogwarts Express, Harry looking in the Pensieve and Ron and Hermione looking upwards at something. One shot of interest showed Dumbledore and Harry in the cave, with Dumbledore grasping the chain to lift the Voldemort's old boat from the waters. We hope to have this video up in our galleries soon, and will update when we can.
It was like being stranded in the desert, severely dehydrated, and only getting a few measly drips of water from your canteen— welcome, but WAAAY to little!
Did they say it was 5 seconds? I had guess 2 seconds. If you watched the Oscars hoping to see the HBP clip, if you blinked, you missed it. This just proves that if you want to see it, wait for YouTube.
it was kind of a tease, but i am happy that they showed it…i think it was a great idea to do that at the end of the oscars bc i actually found out about several movies that i want to watch, that i didn’t know about…. i thought the oscars were really entertaining this year…great new format
I was so tired last night that I went to bed at 8:30. I asked my mom to wake me up when the clip was going to come on, and she didn’t :(
I was only able to see it today, but I guess I didn’t miss much. Isn’t it only 10 seconds long?
Can’t wait till July!
