Hang on everyone, as we have a bit of a treat for you today! With filming now underway on Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, today we have word of a set being built for using in HP7. TLC reader John was on a tour of Pinewood Studios in London, England, and was shown a set under construction to be used for the final Harry Potter film. As seen here in our image galleries, this special set is a row of houses, being built in a thick grove of trees and there is a pond nearby in the garden area of Pinewood studios. Readers will recall of course, that the bulk of filming for the Harry Potter films is normally done at Leavesden Studios, and as stated here on this paper, this is a set being built special over at Pinewood special for HP7. We do not know what scene this set is for (The Forest Scene, Godric's Hollow etc) as no details were provided to those on the tour.
Thanks ever so much John!

Hmm, Malfoy Manor had large grounds with hedges didn’t it? Big iron gates and white peacocks?
Didn’t see any peacocks but they looked like a row of old Tudor houses!

Hey KB, Totenham Court Road is jut a road (a popular road) in Central London. Totenham (the home base of Totenham Hotspur football team) is in North London. FYI :)

Also, added to everyone else’s Godrics vs Spinners debate, I doubt Spinner’s End is going to be a long/important enough scene to build new buildings for it. More likely you’ll see Spinner’s as a CG background…

Again on the spinners end debate… this is in the HBP movie. the scene where Snape and narcissa make the unbreakable vow. We have seen the images of this scene. This village set really couldn’t be spinners end as this has been filmed for the HBP movie.

I really hope this is Godric’s Hollow. It really has the look I imagined.

Hopefully it’s Godric Hollow! As long as THAT is not Shell Cottage, I’m cool, LOL!
@KBPrez, I’m a Liverpool fan myself :) I also happen to live close to Tottenham at the moment. Their matches always ruin my journey home from work, along with Arsenal’s, who are close by, because the tube trains are always packed on those evenings!
Someone mentioned Tonks parents’ home earlier. That’s a good thought. I imagined somewhere in a Surrey or Sussex village for their house, between village and expensive suburbia, which could also fit the look of the set.
The other set I’m looking forward to seeing is the Ravenclaw common room.

We have already seen a bit of godric’s hollow in, was it the first film, where they flashed to voldemort entering the house and killing lily. It looked like a little white house with a picket fence around it. That is what i always imagined and i hope they keep that. This could be the bar that they mention at godric’s hollow.
This isn’t how i imagine the little town though in grodic’s hollow. I think i thought of something in brick. I think this seems very familar though. I don’t know.
