Last week, several cast members (Tom Felton, Matt Lewis, Evanna Lynch and Jessie Cave) of the Harry Potter films took part in a public signing event at HMV for the release of the Half-Blood Prince DVD in London. Emma from Snitchseeker.com was at the event and spoke to the cast members including Jessie Cave who briefly mentions her role as Lavender Brown for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Jessie confirms the attack by Fenrir the Werewolf is in the film. Quotage:
"SnitchSeeker: Jessie, have you started Deathly Hallows yet?
Jessie: No. I think I go back in a week or two, which is cool.
SnitchSeeker: Do you know if you're character (like in the book) gets attacked by Fenrir Greyback?
Jessie: Yeah, that is in, so that's exciting. A bit scared 'cause he's quite a big guy, but it'll actually be fun.
Tom: Is this Dave? Ah, he's a sweetheart. Kind of like a house on fire.
Jessie: He's tall.
Tom: Yeah, he's pretty big."
Thanks Emma!

I’m immensely excited for DH; from the sound of all these interviews and even the teaser, it will be very close to the book, save the things they’ve kept out of the earlier movies.

The best part about that scene is that it was Hermione who blasted Greyback away from Lavender, saving her. It was a chance to show that in the end, all the Hogwarts students were together, and no one held adolescent grudges when their lives were on the line. Yay for Hermione! I hope they keep that aspect of it, not just use it as an excuse for a bit of scary action.

Jessie was perfect as Lavender in HBP. She was just hilarious like when Harry and Ron are on the train and she comes up and breathes on the door and writes on it. Great to hear she’s back for DH and I’m just ecstatic that they are including the scene with Greyback because I honestly thought this scene would be cut even though its such a great scene for all of the reasons bettb said and I also think it brings awareness to the fact that other students were being attacked and some even killed all around them. Sounds like the battle will be epic if they stick with keeping even the slightly more minor scenes like this. It better be!
Whoo!
