November Harry Potter Bookmark Contest Winners Announced

Last month, our Contest Crew asked you to create Harry Potter themed bookmarks for their November contest. After receiving scores of splendid entries, the Crew has picked the winners. The winners are as follows:

First Place: MikeyBooch

I drew the image traditionally with pencil, then refined the linework with pen and scanned it into the computer where I colored it in Photoshop CS4. The bookmark design was also done in Photoshop. The embossed gold and leathery look of the bookmark was created by using textures I made and adjusting the layer properties. The bookmark depicts Rowena Ravenclaw reading to the other founders.

Second Place: Hallie Torrey

Third Place: Patricio

Honorable Mention: Alessandra

The first place winner of this contest will receive a custom made wand from from Wizard Wood Wands.

Congrats to all!! They were all much nicer than anything I could have created, but I must say that the Dumbledore one is my absolute favorite! I love that quote!

WOW! these are amazing! the flourish and blots is beautiful, but i think my fave is the one that got second…it looks like an actual souvenir i would have picked up at the world cup….also, i love how they are all different mediums of art….GREAT JOB!
