David Yates Talks King's Cross Scene for Deathly Hallows, More

A new interview has surfaced online from La Vibra where director David Yates comments on the King's Cross scene for the upcoming Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Just as in the novel by J.K. Rowling, Harry (played by actor Dan Radcliffe) will appear nude for the dramatic scene where Harry meets his former teacher, the late great Professor Dumbledore. This news follows the confirmation from several days ago regarding the Silver Doe chapter where the Horcrux locket caused Ron to imagine his worst fears and played upon his insecurities and emotions, and Dan Radcliffe will be nude in the scene where the illusion Harry kisses Hermione. Also of interest is apparently another new scene written for the movie, this involving Harry and Hermione dancing. Translation from Snitchseeker:

"Well, Dan (Radcliffe) has appeared nude in the past, but there are a couple of scenes in the new film in which he will undress, but we're still thinking about how we present it. "It's a fascinating scene in which Harry and Ron (Rupert Grint) are trying to kill a Horcrux (a magical creature). It tries to defend itself and creates an image of Voldemort's soul, that shows has a series of images where Harry and Hermione (Emma Watson) are kissing and embracing. And we will create something that feels very sexy and very intriguing to bring about reaction in Rupert (who is in love with Hermione)."There is another scene in Kings Cross station, where Harry almost dies and sees Dumbledore. In that scene he will also be naked," he added.

"It's very difficult to find a favorite scene, but something we just did as part of the movie truly is priceless. It's a scene where Hermione and Harry dance together and is not in the book - it's something we created for the film and is actually very tender, very nice and respectful, and they also reveal some secrets about each other while dancing," said Yates."

Harry and Hermione dancing, Harry and Hermione kissing…. When will we hear news about RON AND HERMIONE?
I guess we’ve just got to have faith in the director and the producers. Faith, people.

Sigh… JKR had just the right balance on the trio – Harry got different types of support from Hermione and Ron, and he needed BOTH. The films (VERY OBVIOUSLY different entities from the books) have evolved into the Harry/Hermione adventure, with sidekick Ron showing up for comic relief and occassional bad behaviour. They didn’t even let him express support for Harry at the end of HBP – what was with him sitting in the corner?!?!

I like a lot about the movies but this very clear shift in dynamics is just sad and rather irritating.

Ok so I wonder about all of the nudity, one scene was written that way in the books the other wasnt. I can understand King’s Cross, but at the Silver Doe?! Does that mean Emma will also be nude? If it is Horcrux Harry who is nude that is just a bit strange, he will be the only one sans clothes….huh?

Wow!!!!!!Wait a minute!! Don’t be so quick-tempered!!first the dancing scene is not during the marriage it’s in the tent obviously when Ron left!!It’s not a romantic dance it’s just a dance between two friends that are cheering up each other! second the secrets they’re revealing are about their respective lover I mean Harry reveals what he feels about Ginny how he misses her and Heermione does the same about Ron.
Coming to some of you than don’t find that Ron and Hermione spent less time on screen than Harry and Hermione don’t blame Yates or Kloves. Even in the you see Hermione spent more time with Harry the others moments we have mostly the trio. Let’s be honest re-read the book you’ll see .I rarely read a passage when it’s Ron and Hermione alone!! we mostly have the three of them or just Harry and Hermione.
To those who said that Yates and Kloves don’t like Ron\Rupert you are not serious. I think that add more his character than than book does and they show better the relionship between him and Hermione(e.g Hermione asking Harry what he feels when he sees Ginny with Dean&in the Pub talking about snogging…)
To conclude as someone said in this forum I think it’s because you guys feel that there is much more chemistry between Harry and Hermione that you do not like seeing them togother. But you haven’t to worry about that we all know She loves Ron and vice-versa!!!!!!! LONG LIVE TO HARRY POTTER!!!!!!!!

Guess That Book

Professor Trelawney, who had been so pleased with [Harry and Ron] when they had been predicting their own horrific deaths, quickly became irritated as they sniggered through her explanation of the various ways in which Pluto could disrupt everyday life.
