David Yates Talks King's Cross Scene for Deathly Hallows, More

A new interview has surfaced online from La Vibra where director David Yates comments on the King's Cross scene for the upcoming Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Just as in the novel by J.K. Rowling, Harry (played by actor Dan Radcliffe) will appear nude for the dramatic scene where Harry meets his former teacher, the late great Professor Dumbledore. This news follows the confirmation from several days ago regarding the Silver Doe chapter where the Horcrux locket caused Ron to imagine his worst fears and played upon his insecurities and emotions, and Dan Radcliffe will be nude in the scene where the illusion Harry kisses Hermione. Also of interest is apparently another new scene written for the movie, this involving Harry and Hermione dancing. Translation from Snitchseeker:

"Well, Dan (Radcliffe) has appeared nude in the past, but there are a couple of scenes in the new film in which he will undress, but we're still thinking about how we present it. "It's a fascinating scene in which Harry and Ron (Rupert Grint) are trying to kill a Horcrux (a magical creature). It tries to defend itself and creates an image of Voldemort's soul, that shows has a series of images where Harry and Hermione (Emma Watson) are kissing and embracing. And we will create something that feels very sexy and very intriguing to bring about reaction in Rupert (who is in love with Hermione)."There is another scene in Kings Cross station, where Harry almost dies and sees Dumbledore. In that scene he will also be naked," he added.

"It's very difficult to find a favorite scene, but something we just did as part of the movie truly is priceless. It's a scene where Hermione and Harry dance together and is not in the book - it's something we created for the film and is actually very tender, very nice and respectful, and they also reveal some secrets about each other while dancing," said Yates."

Why? Because Steve Kloves is a worthless writer.

More and more people are beginning to realize that.

I dont care to see Harry naked but…but…
Why Horcrux SCENE with Harry and Hermione, must be better than the ridiculous scene kiss between Harry / Ginny in the sixth movie.
They have many options to make Ron jealous. I do not accept that the scene is so much better than Harry / Ginny kiss in six movie.
Harry / Ginny kiss was explosive in the book 6. Unfortunately in the movie 6 was an authentic crap. Harry and Ginny kiss deserved to have better attention and more sense than it had.
I know it’s a Horcrux, but Harry’s girl is Ginny.
If producers want to put Harry naked in the film . I want Harry appear naked with Ginny! I dont want to see harry naked with Hermione!!!!!!

They are ruining the Harry Potter’s books. If this scene goes ahead that way I refuse to see the movie.

Harry Potter’s not going to go full frontal in one of his movies for goodness sakes. Keep your pants on, kids. Geez. And no where in any of these interviews does it say he’s naked with Hermione, you twats. Or maybe I just missed the part where “dancing with” translates to “naked with.”

I don’t care if he’s naked or not, it’s not like they’re going to show anything.

The biggest problem with these spoilers is Kloves once again stealing the spotlight from Ron. That’s what will stop me from ever seeing this movie.

Knowing the book, and knowing Kloves, that’s what you’ll get. But that’s not the reason why most people are angry.

People are p*ssed off because Steve Kloves is turning one of the most anticipated Ron/Hermione scenes from the final book (their dance) into a Harry/Hermione moment.

Yates is only directing what Kloves writes. You’re not blaming the right person.

Kloves has hated Ron and Ron/Hermione since the moment he signed on to write HP. If there was ANY way he could ruin a scene the Ron supporters were looking forward to seeing on film, he’d do it – and continues to do it from the sounds of things. The Harry/Hermione relationship needs NO further development on film, thank you. It’s the only relationship that’s been so finely honed and detailed in the entire series. All of the other important relationships – including even the Ron/Harry friendship – have been either sorely neglected or completely ignored. In fact, IF this ridiculous Harry/Hermione dance scene has been deemed necessary to more clearly show Ron’s jealousy, it’s only necessary because of Kloves’ failings in the prior films. Had he written the Ron/Hermione relationship correctly early on, as it’s represented in the books, it would be perfectly clear why Ron feels as he does during the scene where he destroys the locket. The absurd little Harry/Hermione dance wouldn’t even be necessary, leaving more screen time for the real DH scenes instead of the imposters.

First, regarding the nudity, I don’t know why people are making such a fuss. It’s not like it’s going to be full frontal. In the Horcrux scene, it’s the Riddle!Harry that’s naked (so, I wonder if Riddle!Hermione will be too?). It’s not going to look exactly like Harry, it’s going to be a twisted, horcrux version of him, so it might not be that noticeable anyway.

As for the King’s Cross scene, he was naked for the beginning of that in the book so I’m glad they’re keeping it in there.

And as for the dancing scene…I think it could be quite sweet. They’re best friends, they’re allowed to dance with each other at a wedding which is when I assume it will be). In fact, I think it would be quite good if they’re dancing, Krum comes over to ask Hermione to dance with him, and then Ron comes over to ask her to dance with him instead.

In fact, the thing I’m mostly worried about is whether Harry will be disguised as Barny Weasley or not!

It’s funny how many people read that Dan’s going to be nude and interpret that to mean that there’s going to be a full-frontal or something. Seriously, guys, it’s not going to be more than GoF— these movies are going to be PG13, MAX. Stop freaking out!
I have to agree that it’s weird that they’re adding a dance scene between Harry and Hermione though… but it might(?) make more sense in context. If you just look at these details it sounds like they’re making smut xD I’m sure the events happen in a logical fashion. Or, you know, not. HBP didn’t really make any sense.

From what I remember Harry and Hermione are talking when the lynx patronus appears and then desperately hunt for Ron. I think it would work if they were dancing at the time (perhaps with Ron gone to get drinks). They are friends so they will probably have a dance or two together.

There is an extraordinary amount of venom in some of the comments here, I cannot believe how agressive some people are being about this. For goodness sake this is a film being made, and they are not setting out to annoy people, just trying to do their jobs, it must be an incredibly difficult thing to adapt any much loved book let alone a series of them, this is not about some dreadful tragedy happening in the world, please get a sense of perspective.

Harry and Hermione dancing, Harry and Hermione kissing…. When will we hear news about RON AND HERMIONE?
I guess we’ve just got to have faith in the director and the producers. Faith, people.
