David Yates Talks King's Cross Scene for Deathly Hallows, More

A new interview has surfaced online from La Vibra where director David Yates comments on the King's Cross scene for the upcoming Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Just as in the novel by J.K. Rowling, Harry (played by actor Dan Radcliffe) will appear nude for the dramatic scene where Harry meets his former teacher, the late great Professor Dumbledore. This news follows the confirmation from several days ago regarding the Silver Doe chapter where the Horcrux locket caused Ron to imagine his worst fears and played upon his insecurities and emotions, and Dan Radcliffe will be nude in the scene where the illusion Harry kisses Hermione. Also of interest is apparently another new scene written for the movie, this involving Harry and Hermione dancing. Translation from Snitchseeker:

"Well, Dan (Radcliffe) has appeared nude in the past, but there are a couple of scenes in the new film in which he will undress, but we're still thinking about how we present it. "It's a fascinating scene in which Harry and Ron (Rupert Grint) are trying to kill a Horcrux (a magical creature). It tries to defend itself and creates an image of Voldemort's soul, that shows has a series of images where Harry and Hermione (Emma Watson) are kissing and embracing. And we will create something that feels very sexy and very intriguing to bring about reaction in Rupert (who is in love with Hermione)."There is another scene in Kings Cross station, where Harry almost dies and sees Dumbledore. In that scene he will also be naked," he added.

"It's very difficult to find a favorite scene, but something we just did as part of the movie truly is priceless. It's a scene where Hermione and Harry dance together and is not in the book - it's something we created for the film and is actually very tender, very nice and respectful, and they also reveal some secrets about each other while dancing," said Yates."

After that dull kiss between Harry and Ginny in the sixth film. We all know that kiss is so much better and deep in the book. Now we have to see erotic scenes between Dan and Emma. That is horrible. If so when Ginny kisses Harry on his birthday. Instead of this scene, we will require to see Harry and Ginny in bed making love. At least is the only way it will appear that Ginny will be chosen by Harry and not Hermione..
I HATE when they trying to make Harry/Hermione happen!

d rad loved his b-day suit lol!

i’m not going to start getting worked up about the new scenes just yet, but it really does irk me to start hearing about them…there is enough substance in the books to keep EVERYTHING…and not take some out and put in made-up stuff

It’s ok for me if they keep it PG13.
As for the dancing scene, if they just make it a dance as friends, it’s great.

I highly doubt we will see Dan a la Equus. Perhaps his bum, but not the other side. No need to freak out. In regards to the Harry/Hermione dance, I think they’re just throwing in a nice, short snippet during the wedding that displays Harry and Hermione’s close bond as friends. I’m sure we will see the latter dance with Ron.

The movie adaptations are loose clipnotes of the novels; you really have to separate the two and enjoy both for what type of media they are. I feel the HP5 and HP6 movies have been wonderfully filmed (along with HP3). I hope everyone realizes that JKR says whether or not additional scenes or material is appropriate for her franchise/world of HP; if it’s greenlit and it’s okay for JKR, what’s the problem? She also does this for the video games as well, there is quite a bit of really cool additional items she has also included in the video games, like the 101 Famous Witches & Wizards cards in the earlier, non-movie tie-in games… so I actually embrace and look forward to ‘new’ or added material. For me, stuff left out of the film just makes the book(s) that much more special when I curl up and read one, or listen to at work. I do understand getting upset over ‘major’ plot points… but it’s the minor ones that tend to get cut out. I felt that the HP5 film had a lot more Hogwarts feel than HP4 did. Lastly; I think Harry and Hermione’s friendship relationship is quite meaningful and beautiful, so an intimate friendship scene, in the book or created for the movie, is huge thumbs up for me. Cannot wait for the next two movie installments.

Oh, good. I was worried Hermione wouldn’t get any attention in this one.

Chill, people!Don’t go already crazy about the movie, wait ‘til you see it!Then you can judge!
I really woudn’t worry ‘bout the nude scenes, after all it’s WB we’re talking about, they’d never risk to loose any money.
As for this new scene, dunno, have to wait to see the film.
Can’t wait! :)
