David Yates Talks King's Cross Scene for Deathly Hallows, More

A new interview has surfaced online from La Vibra where director David Yates comments on the King's Cross scene for the upcoming Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Just as in the novel by J.K. Rowling, Harry (played by actor Dan Radcliffe) will appear nude for the dramatic scene where Harry meets his former teacher, the late great Professor Dumbledore. This news follows the confirmation from several days ago regarding the Silver Doe chapter where the Horcrux locket caused Ron to imagine his worst fears and played upon his insecurities and emotions, and Dan Radcliffe will be nude in the scene where the illusion Harry kisses Hermione. Also of interest is apparently another new scene written for the movie, this involving Harry and Hermione dancing. Translation from Snitchseeker:

"Well, Dan (Radcliffe) has appeared nude in the past, but there are a couple of scenes in the new film in which he will undress, but we're still thinking about how we present it. "It's a fascinating scene in which Harry and Ron (Rupert Grint) are trying to kill a Horcrux (a magical creature). It tries to defend itself and creates an image of Voldemort's soul, that shows has a series of images where Harry and Hermione (Emma Watson) are kissing and embracing. And we will create something that feels very sexy and very intriguing to bring about reaction in Rupert (who is in love with Hermione)."There is another scene in Kings Cross station, where Harry almost dies and sees Dumbledore. In that scene he will also be naked," he added.

"It's very difficult to find a favorite scene, but something we just did as part of the movie truly is priceless. It's a scene where Hermione and Harry dance together and is not in the book - it's something we created for the film and is actually very tender, very nice and respectful, and they also reveal some secrets about each other while dancing," said Yates."

Man you guys jump to a lot of conclusions. We don’t even know what kind of dancing they’ll be doing. For all we know they could be break-dancing in the woods (which would be kind of awesome). You guys just need to relax. They made it clear in HBP that they were friends, and they’ll make it even more so in DH. The secrets they could be sharing is how much they miss Ginny and Ron. Just take this quote (and the nude stuff) with a grain of salt until we get more info over the coming months.

I hated David Yates…I hated him since Goblet of Fire! The problem is that he’s a BIG fan of the dreaded harry and hermione ship! It’s sad that he just doing this because of that. Harry and Ginny have 3 kids at the end. Add some sceens with Ginny and Harry!!! Also, I don’t really need to see Dan naked!!

As much as I enjoy the texture that these additional scenes add, I truly fear that Steve Kloves has merely incorporated them to maintain his delusion that Harry and Hermione were meant to belong together.

After he makes out with Ginny…he goes dancing with hermione? No way…it has to be a friendship type of deal!!!

I think at the very most you will see Dan’s behind. In fact I’d be kind of surprised if you even saw that much. It’s still Harry Potter and they’re going to market it to the same crowd they have been for nearly a decade. It’s amazing how crazy the assumptions are getting. But to be fair, I don’t think it’s something they really NEED to tell people about like a year before the 1st movie releases because, well this is what happens. It won’t be a big deal at all.

Stop blaming David Yates, it’s Steve Kloves who is responsible for this bs.

He’s been a Harry/Hermione fanatic from the start, at the expense of the character of Ron Weasley.

Just take a look at the final scene of HBP, totally sweet trio moment turned into a one with just Harry and Hermione.

I think that this extra scene will fit nicely. It will illustrate Ron’s paranoia of a Harry/Hermione relationship, for the people who don’t read the books. For those who want Ron to dance with Hermione, he will dance with her at Bill and Fleur’s wedding.

No, espalda neon, you failed to understand.

Ron won’t be dancing with Hermione at Bill’s wedding.

Harry will.

Let him do what he wants, for Dog’s sake… You don’t know what he means when he’s talking about the dancing scene. It could be during the horcrux scene, where it shows Harry and Hermione dancing and then kissing… a lie! That’s what horcruxes do after all. Gosh… and as for the nude scenes, it is exactly like in the book. And now people are getting upset BECAUSE it is like in the book? Some of you guys are just never pleased, are you…

Please no more added scenes! You have enough essential scenes from the book to cram into the movie. Don’t waste time by adding stuff that’s not even in the books. It will just mean more stuff from the books that you’ll have to cut, argh. And why not have Hermione and Ron dance? Seriously, the movie makers are total Harry/Hermione shippers. They really need to get over that or they’ll end up making the relationships in the movie confusing.

I’ll be fine with Harry and Hermione dancing, as long as Ron and Hermione dance too. I think it’d be cute. I also think it’d be funny if Ron says “May I cut in,” and starts dancing with Harry. Heh. Then Hermione and Ginny start dancing together, and…ahh ok, that’s getting way too silly! Back to the topic. If it’s Harry and Hermione instead of Ron and Hermione, then I’ll pour on the hate.
