David Yates Talks King's Cross Scene for Deathly Hallows, More

A new interview has surfaced online from La Vibra where director David Yates comments on the King's Cross scene for the upcoming Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Just as in the novel by J.K. Rowling, Harry (played by actor Dan Radcliffe) will appear nude for the dramatic scene where Harry meets his former teacher, the late great Professor Dumbledore. This news follows the confirmation from several days ago regarding the Silver Doe chapter where the Horcrux locket caused Ron to imagine his worst fears and played upon his insecurities and emotions, and Dan Radcliffe will be nude in the scene where the illusion Harry kisses Hermione. Also of interest is apparently another new scene written for the movie, this involving Harry and Hermione dancing. Translation from Snitchseeker:
"Well, Dan (Radcliffe) has appeared nude in the past, but there are a
couple of scenes in the new film in which he will undress, but we're
still thinking about how we present it. "It's a fascinating scene in which Harry and Ron (Rupert Grint) are
trying to kill a Horcrux (a magical creature). It tries to defend
itself and creates an image of Voldemort's soul, that shows has a
series of images where Harry and Hermione (Emma Watson) are kissing and
embracing. And we will create something that feels very sexy and very
intriguing to bring about reaction in Rupert (who is in love with
Hermione)."There is another scene in Kings Cross station, where Harry almost dies
and sees Dumbledore. In that scene he will also be naked," he added.
"It's very difficult to find a favorite scene, but something we just
did as part of the movie truly is priceless. It's a scene where
Hermione and Harry dance together and is not in the book - it's
something we created for the film and is actually very tender, very
nice and respectful, and they also reveal some secrets about each other
while dancing," said Yates."

You know what would be great? Draco and Ginny kissing as Harry catches them on the Maurauders Map. Priceless! Do you think yates and kloves can add that scene as well?

if they have to insist on him being nude then they better not do a frontal shot…just his butt…cuz that would be very inappropriate for a Harry Potter movie, that MILLIONS of LITTLE KIDS go to see

i’m starting to become slightly annoyed with all of this. i really respect Yates, but with some of the decisions my respect starts to dwindle. just as i was getting over the nude scene, now the information of Hermione dancing with Harry comes up. am I the only one that wants to see Ron and Hermione dance? Its such a sweet moment in the book when he asks her in front of Krum.
Does Kloves have something against Rupert? He seems to be taking a great moment for Rupert/Ron and turning it into this thing that will just give more attention to Emma and Dan (I like them both but sometimes Rupert gets the shaft).I sometimes think that if Kloves could have his way, Hermione would marry Harry in the epilogue.

I agree. I don’t think he should be advancing Hermione’s and Harry’s relationship, but Hermiones and Ron’s. Ron keeps coming up the odd one out, wasn’t even standing by the other two in the end of movie six. It’s a trio, not a duo.

I think the movie makers are closet Harry/Hermione shippers. I mean, Harry/Hermione out the wazoo here. I like how Emma and Dan interact in the movies, but I worry it will be weird seeing Ron and Hermione kiss at the end of the movie, when it should be the penultimate expression of a romantic relationship in the Harry Potter series. Oh well.

ehhh not so sure about the whole dancing thing… i personally like the scene just how it is. it seems a bit weird to add something like Harry and Hermione dancing.

@lunny_lovegood do you really think that Dan is going to be that nude? It’s going to be a PG13 movie, for goodness sake.
Also again the dancing thing I think are making people overreact as well. Do we not know who he ends up with. I could see the dancing at the wedding, after Ron has left, or the vision Ron sees. We don’t know the context of what we read yet, so just calm down and wait to it’s more information.

Ohhh, yay! I’m so excited for a new scene!! (am I the only one??) I’m sure it’s not going to be a romantic scene between the two of them— just something they would do as friends. It’s probably after Ron leaves and it’s something Harry does with Hermione to cheer her up and lighten up a little… Imagine if you were alone with only ONE person for about two months… you would probably get a little goofy and try to have fun after sitting in a tent for such a long time. I think it sounds adorable!
