Blockbuster to Hold Midnight Release Parties for Half-Blood Prince DVD

Thanks to Blockbuster who let us know that many of their stores here in the US will be holding midnight release parties for the Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince DVD on Monday, Dec. 7th. Many of the stores will be starting their event at 7 or 8pm in the evening with games, music, magic shows contests and more, plus you can reserve your DVD now for $5.00 (USD) and pay the rest when you purchase at Midnight. This is Blockbuster trying to squeeze every penny out of the Harry Potter Phenomenom. I won’t be there. I wasn’t that happy with the movie.

I am looking forward to the blu-ray release of SS and COS (with the extended scenes).

I don’t usually go to dvd midnight releases but I definatley won’t for this one. That wasn’t HBP!!

Cool! We went to the Twilight DVD release party with friends and there were a bunch of people dressed in wizard robes there, One of the trivia questions was “What is behind Edward’s head in biology class?” and the HP group answered “A snowy white owl like Hedwig”. I found it very amusing but the Twilight teens did not.
