The US official WB Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince website has gotten a slight makeover into a DVD theme, with links to info on the live screening event December 12th with Dan Radcliffe and David Yates. Please note too that it says of the special sneak peek at Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows "Get an exclusive, first-look on the set of the next Harry Potter movie, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1"

I can’t tell from the Amazon desctiption if there is a Blu-Ray disc, a regular DVD and a digital copy. I’d like that. The little sticker on the cover makes it look like you get all three but the Blu-Ray/DVD title is not clear to me. Anyone have a definative answer?

If this is anything like the other BD Live screenings I’ve taken part in (The Watchmen and The Dark Knight), then I think some people are going to be disappointed. It was just text scrolling on the bottom of the screen, like reading a chat room transcript. It is not audio commentary or anything like that. It can be exhausting reading all that text while trying to pay attention to the movie.

Actually, it’s not that exhausting Lazy0718. I have the subtitles on all the time whenever I’m watching the film. (For some odd reason.) And If you mishear something, then you can just glance down and see it.

I tend to watch with the subtitles on too actually. But when you have a chat room style scroll it can be overwhelming (bunch of lines at once, conversation not flowing because they are answering questions out of order, etc.) On one of the last Pottercasts they were talking about it as if it was an audio commentary. That isn’t how previous BD Live screenings have been.

If anyone wants to know the specific differences between the special features of the different Half Blood Prince DVD formats just check out this group I made.
