Dan Radcliffe: "Final stretch" of Deathly Hallows Filming After Christmas

Australian morning television show Sunrise Seven has a short video online from a recent Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows set visit, during which actors Dan Radcliffe (Harry), Bonnie Wright (Ginny), Rupert Grint (Ron), and Tom Felton (Draco) spoke briefly about their experience making the film.  While discussing the end of the Deathly Hallows production, Mr. Radcliffe notes that the final leg of filming, set to get underway after the Christmas holidays, will be both a "sad" and "exciting" experience.  Quoteage:

"It'll be funny after Christmas because after Christmas then we really are on the home stretch then... and it will be strange.  It will be very, very odd, and very sad.  But, equally, it'll be very exciting to not to have to say to people 'Sorry, I won't be available for another four years.'  I am excited about it."
Brief glimpses of such sets as Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes and the cluttered Room of Requirement are seen during this clip, along with a few behind the scenes looks from the Half-Blood Prince filming.  The full clip can be viewed right here in our Video Galleries.

It’ll be exciting to see what kind of projects they will be a part of after the HP movies are finished.

It’ll be awkward to know at the DH premiere that the actors have been done with filming for almost a whole year.

Benn Robinson not playing against Wales? Poor Wallabies, nothing seems to go right for them this year.

On topic, the “stubble” comment haha. I am excited about that :D

It’ll be like graduating from school for them: bittersweet. It’s sad, but you move on. It’ll be sad for us too, though, lol

Just dwelling on the very notion that filming of the movies will soon have to cease brings tears to my eyes, for following the development of this franchise has been such a critical part of my adolescence and growing up. Oh, well. If we survived the end of the series, we can survive this.

The end is close…ah man this is sad. I know the tears will be streaming when I watch DH2. I have high hopes for the next two movies.

Can’t even imagine what it must be like for them! Wow, like if you went to the same school for 10 years and then were suddenly finally about to graduate. I’m sure they will do something special.

Guess That Book

"Thanks," said Sirius, opening it, grabbing a drumstick, sitting down on the cave floor, and tearing off a large chunk with his teeth. "I've been living off rats mostly. Can't steal too much food from Hogsmeade; I'd draw attention to myself."
