Reps for actor Dan Radcliffe have strongly denied allegations made in a UK tabloid involving an illegal substance. Reuters reports that the latest rumors surfaced in UK tabloid the Daily Mirror, claiming the Harry Potter actor smoked cannabis at a party. Reps for Dan are quoted as saying "We categorically deny the allegations regarding Daniel Radcliffe published in today's Daily Mirror," his spokeswoman said in a statement on Friday. "Daniel does smoke the occasional roll-up cigarette, but he was not doing anything more than this. We are considering our position and will be taking all necessary action in relation to such allegations."

Since when did Leaky start covering this celeb-gossip stuff? This story is a bit of a joke if you ask me and not worth getting upset about. It doesn’t look much like Dan, and if it is him, so what? He is an adult and can make his own choices. I would hope he is smart enough to treat everything in moderation.

The Daily Mirror should be sued heavily.

@Iceholic I agree. Legalizing it would stop the money going to the wrong people. But fact is, it is not legal yet. Let’s hope it will be in the future. It really is bad for peoples health, but so is regular cigarettes.

This is tabloid material, it’s all crap, and they use famous people so their paper will sell. It’s just pure business, nothing personal.

It’s just that it’s Dan they are talking about. They can’t right anything bad about him, so why not create one for him.

Hey, good or bad publicity is still publicity. At least people are talking about him, not putting him in oblivion.

‘Dan can always save his reputation if he wanted to, by getting a test done showing no foul marijauana. make result public, …’

This is a misguided idea which plays along with the sickening notion put forward by the tabloids that one is guilty until proven innocent. Reject that sh!te for what it is – a perversion of the ideals of a free society. Do not go along with stupid people who would flush civil liberties down the toilet.

I’m more surprised that people are shocked with the knowledge that he does smoke. Isn’t that old news? He’s an adult. It’s very British and European. I don’t find it attractive but neither is it offensive.

Leaky is fine in posting this because they are reporting what Dan’s reps are saying. They did not post the original tabloid article. It has grown in attention and has become a bigger news item that should be addressed.

I just think it’s sad that the media & press seem to live off this stuff. Leave the poor guy alone. He deserves peace. Stop trying to scandalize everyone!
