It would seem tonight is a great night for Harry Potter fans, as the USA Today has a “first look”
preview of the upcoming Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. While new photos from the sixth Harry Potter film do not yet seem to be online, this new article indicates there is new material to be had on Draco, Harry and Ginny and perhaps our first look at Jim Broadbent as Professor Slughorn as the piece states “the focus is on the evolution of Harry’s rival Draco Malfoy (Tom Felton) into a malevolent force. Also introduced: Potions teacher Professor Slughorn (Jim Broadbent). Of interest to fans are details on the blossoming relationship between Harry and Ginny: “They’re about to kiss,” director David Yates says. “Then the bloody Death Eaters turn up and cause all sorts of anarchy.” A separate piece on the romance is as follows:
Harry develops feelings for Ginny Weasley (Bonnie Wright), the younger sister of his best pal Ron (Rupert Grint).
“Harry has these feelings for Ginny which he’s unable to express or fulfill because Ron is very protective of her,” says director David Yates. “Ginny is going through a time of exploration. She’s finding confidence with boys and has been going out with a few. There’s a kind of maturity that is quite adventurous.”
Yates chose to do more improvising this time around, particularly as the young actors have matured in their craft. One such improvisational scene is one between Harry and Ginny that is fraught with romantic tension.
Ron, for his part, is overcome with romantic fervor after digging into some charmed chocolates. “He’s in a daze and madly in love, which is kind of alarming to any warm body who comes into close proximity,” Yates says.
UPDATE:Thanks to hbpmoviepics, who let us know they have the scan of the article from the papercontaining new photos of Hermione (Emma Watson) and what seems to be our first look look at Romilda Vane (Anna Shaffer), as well as a new photo of director David Yates with Dan Radcliffe (Harry) and Bonnie Wright (Ginny) at Christmas time.
omg, I think I have missed something! What is this added scene at the Burrow about?

almost obsessive HP girl – About 8 weeks ago we found out that they added a death eater attack scene on the burrow while Harry is there to show the audience that the world isn’t safe. It’s because they said that in the books JK Rowling slipped in lots of comments about killings and attacks but they can’t do that in the movie.
I’m really excited! but have they completely taken out the post-quidditch kiss? That’s awful. XP But tying someone else’s shoelace is quite an intimate thing to do IMO. (o.o) It’s cute and it fits. [nods]
And I’m unbelievably stoked about Draco being mentioned in relatively the “forefront” compared to other plots. Me wanty lots and lots of Draco in this movie. Even if he’s not being shown but just mentioned ^^; Maybe they’ll have lots of establishing shots of him whenever they do mention him. Anyway, on an off topic, I NEED A TEASER TRAILER REALLY SOON OR I MIGHT JUST DIE! And there’d better be some Draco, Snape, and Tom Riddle in it. :-I
Looking at the scans, I ask “Why don’t they make Hermione officially blonde”?—Really, it’s becoming annoying, it just keeps on getting brighter film after film.
This sounds really great! I am so looking forward to this film, considering it’s one of my least favourite books of the series it might even become my favourite film.
It looks like they’re really trying to get the balance right between the mushy romantic stuff, which I thought was too much in the book, and the proper DE business. I’m so glad Draco is going to get time to develop. I hope they get across how frightened he is too not just malevolent.
The picture of Dan and Ginny looks lovely. I really like the shirt Harry’s wearing. Can’t wait to see all the Christmas as the Burrow stuff (even though my favourite HBP book scene with Scrimgeour/Harry is not going to be there).
Once again, can’t read all posts, at this point….but OOOOOOOOOOOOOOH.
The trailer won’t be far behind, kids! I love the picture on the front of the magazine. [got so excited, don’t remember which it was…] Ivy…shoelaces?
You’ve lost me, again! I think, chelsea, that the reason “there isn’t as much publicity” on the H/G kiss is that there was so much on the H/C! Not needed, eh? Toooo cool! Bring it on, WB! We’re ready for anythiing….[evil grin]
Eeek! Shoelace. Well at least now we know the Ginny (Bonnie) has more than 1 line. But Bonnie Knight? ‘Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe) and Ginny Weasley (Bonnie Knight) have a stolen moment where there lips nearly meet.’ Gee… get the name right…. Oh well.. This might happen but most likely I’m wrong-
I'm not sure but for example they are in the burrow and they then are alone (IDK how but maybe they were just behind other people) Then Bonnie does the shoelace thing, she ties it for him then stands up again they lean in for a kiss but gets interrupted by DEs then they, fight them and stuff. Things get very awkward between them and maybe Ginny is still with Dean when the DEs came after the the attack and the near kiss she breaks up with Dean then it's like awkward between Ginny and Harry then maybe the Quidditch thing, yadeyadeyah then Quidditch kiss.
Most likely I’m wrong but it’s interesting to think about… :)

Do people not read the comments here before posting a reply? I’m really starting to question the intelligence of some here.
For crying out loud people; Of course THEY KISS! Dan said numerous times he’s kissing Ginny in HBP. Just because the article says they ‘almost kiss’ doesn’t mean it’s giving away the entire relationship. It’s called foreplay. To get your interest piqued. It’s for an audience who’s not familiar with the story line.
...Sirius Black was gone forever. Sirius seemed a million miles away already, even if a part of Harry still believed that if he had only pulled back that veil, he would have found Sirius looking back at him, greeting him, perhaps, with his laugh like a ba
