Earlier we told you actor Rupert Grint was to appear on the Al Murray’s Happy Hour show tonight. That program has now aired in the UK, and thanks to our Order partner RupertGrint.net video of the interview is now online. In this funny interview, Rupert discusses his role as Ron Weasley and mentions he is playing Quidditch in the upcoming Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, as well as briefly mentions the two part movies for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Rupert also says he has read all the Harry Potter books, with other topics ranging from the audition process he used to get cast in the Harry Potter series, to his ice cream truck. Thanks much to RupertGrint.net!

Ugh That was so funny! I love how he spoiled the ending, and they called the rat Volderats and then Rupert said, “Expelliarmus!” Haha thats a Deathly Hallows spoiler!!

I’m still giggling.

I really enjoyed this. This show is funny and Rupert seems as if he had a blast. He was still shy but he was laughing through the whole thing and all the funny antics the host carried on. Ha ha ha. I loved it. I want to know if Rupert’s a real ginger!!

I love Rupert

That was a very funny video! The interviewer is mad, he is! I couldn’t believe he ripped the book though, it hurt.

You’ve got to laugh when he says ‘what happens in HBP then?’ and Rupert says ‘well, Dumbledore dies!’ Believe it or not there ARE people out there who don’t know that! Especially if they only see the movies. So that’s just blown for millions of people right there.

I like how Rupert IS normal as they talk about in the interview. He isn’t an actory type full of a load of bulls**t, he’s just a normal guy on a TV show. But he definitely is the most natural actor of the trio. Dan has put a lot of work in to evolve into a ‘proper actooor’ whereas Rupert doesn’t need to as it’s already there. As for Emma…she still delivers her lines in the same way as ‘you’re going to have someone’s EYE out!’ in PS/SS, overly dramatic! She was best in PoA. Maybe all three of them were. They were definitely the most natural in PoA. Cuaron obviously found the balance.

WOW! I thought WE had some “interesting” talk show hosts! ROFL! I could really relate to the “screaming at the screen “It’s VOLDEMORT!” ” Kinda like in ‘Order Of The Phoenix’: after months of “he’s not back”, Fudge comes out of his fire, in the Ministry, and announces “He’s BACK!” At which point, everyone in the theater [every time I went to see it, by the way] says all together: “DUH!” GREAT interview…Rupert is such a doll! :D

Oh that was funny! I think that was the most I have heard Rupert speak at one time!! He seems so shy, almost like he can’t believe anyone is paying attention to him…hard to believe that he did a rap song to audition in the first place, I bet that video is hillarious, anyone know if its posted anywhere? hahaha…You go Rupert, you rock!

I love that kid, he’s so humble!

Rupert’s so shy in front of a big crowd- it’s only the more personal interviews that aren’t in front of a huge camera crew that he seems to really open up and use more words than “cool”, which he didn’t use in this interview. He really seems open in this one, even though he laughs a lot. Just a nice interview. :)

Rupert has given some pretty adorable interviews. They just don’t always get posted to the HP sites (don’t worry, I’m not screaming conspiracy) and you won’t see them if you don’t follow what he does. In fact, it’s not his first time talking to Al Murray. Last time he was 16, and AL was trying to get him to lie about his age to get drinks and told him he still had mother’s milk on his breath. That was a funny one also.

I really feel that HP has changed Rupert’s public attitude. I’ve never thought that he was dim or anything, though loads of people apparently get this from his interviews and his excessive use of the word “cool” and other fillers. I just think the amazing amount of attention devoted to HP internationally has made him go further into his shell. It especially becomes evident when you watch this interview and compare it to an earlier one he did for Thunderpants: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oqf0JIoZnMc. I feel like he was so much more open back then, and then something changed. I still love him, though; he’s my favorite out of the trio.
