Harry Goes Green in “Deathly Hallows”

Today, Bloomsbury, the UK publishers of the Harry Potter novels, told TLC that Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows will be printed on “100% ancient forest friendly papers.” A part of the publishing company’s expanding efforts to use a more forest friendly process in printing their books, the papers to be used are ” c 1996 Forest Stewardship Council A.C.(FSC) certified and will be a mixture of FSC pulp and post-consumer recycled pulp (PCW).”
Also, the company announced they will use 100% PCW papers in a new paperback “celebratory edition of “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix,” to be published in June 2007,” with the cover to “be printed on an FSC-accredited board.”
