OH. MY. GOD. WOW. I’m so happy! Squeee!!! I love Dumbledore so much. It’s kinda sad what Grindelwald turned into, I wonder if Dumbledore, like Snape, spent his life loving someone he couldn’t have. It’s so sad, but it’s so beautiful, and it makes perfect sense. I wonder, how do wizards typically feel about other gay wizards, and is gay marriage legal in the wizarding world? It’s a hot button in the U.S., but I think the British aren’t as uptight about it. I hope this doesn’t give fuel to the fundamentalist fires. I also hope this doesn’t turn into a debate about homosexuality, either. I love Dumbledore even more now that I know he loved someone romantically. So Neville married Hannah Abbott. All those fanfics were right! I hope they had lots of clumsy, brave, loyal, blonde, pinkfaced babies.

JKRowling is a couragous woman.

If there was ever a day I thought I could love gay men more, this is that day. That is SO awesome! I’m on cloud nine and three-quarters. And I love that line, “Just imagine the fan fiction now.” ^^

Ha, I agree with that one Chris.

It is a surprising revelation but it does kind of explain the fact that Dumbledore waited so long to go and fight Gridelwald in 1945. I’m glad to find all of this out.

i was just there and it was AMAZING the audiences reaction at the dumbledore was gay thing was so funny. some people were clapping, others laughing, cheering, or some had their jaws wide open in disbelief. but all in all, it was awesome

Samantha, did she say Grindelwald loved him back? I don’t remember reading that. I don’t know why it’s such a bad thing Dumbledore is gay. I agree, it’s definitely one of the bravest things Jo has ever done, but then when has she ever been afraid? Ian McKellan would have been awesome.

WHAT??!! WHAT!!!!!!!??? I just cannot wait to hear the comments on Pottercast on this one. I NEVER thought I’d say this about anything revealed to us by Jo, but my gut says that this is really a stretch. It’s just out of left field. If Albus was truly gay, why didn’t we hear anything about this in the books? Wouldn’t this be important? And if it’s not important, why mention it at all? It just seems bizarre. Perhaps my age has made me jaded, but instead of a revelation, it seems so tabloid. And I love these books, and all of it’s characters, too much to have that be the case. I’m confused.

Oh.Wow.Oh.Wow

I think I could have gone on without that pice of information! Nothing against gay-ness, just that “DD” and “sex” don’t go right in my mind!!!!

So lets stop and think about what’s going to happen next. Yes, the Laura Mallorys of the world are going to go CRAZY with this. I seriously seeing this as going on the news. But then what? I hope it doesn’t go too far, but let’s face it, there is alot of closed-mindness in the world. I swear if it gets to the point of protests and book burnings and angry mobs I’m the first to sign up for the next reincarnation of Dumbledore’s Army.

Wow. That’s freaking awesome, actually. I’ve loved Dumbledore, but I never thought of him that way. It’s… wow.

Just think…”Dumbledore’s Army” is gonna have a whole new angle to it now. Especially among the gay community and activists…lol.

clues to his sexuality? Come on! Look how he dressed! No straight man can pull off those robes with such class… I love it and my final piece of the puzzle of the man who is DD is secure in its place.
