Earlier this week, Scholastic kicked off their summer reading program with a panel discussion in New York called “The Next Best Seller: The ABC’s of Creating a Children’s Book.” Hosted by Deborah Norville, this panel featured Arthur Levine, editor of the U.S. edition of the Harry Potter novels, along with others such as Brett Helquist, illustrator of A Series of Unfortunate Events by Lemony Snicket, and author Ann Martin (The Baby- Sitters Club). There is now video online from this event, and you can watch a nice clip where Mr. Levine discusses our favourite author in a segment labeled ” The J.K. Rowling phenomenon” via this link. Enjoy!
