Update on Canadian HBP Contests

Raincoast Books has sent along an update about contests available to Canadian residents for the chance to travel to Edinburgh to become a “cub reporter” on publication weekend.
Raincoast’s own contest will be unveiled June 1 at 9pm PST (12am EST):

Harry Potter Launch Weekend Sweepstakes Contest: Entrants will require a contest password, available on June 1st in Canadian bookstores, amazon.ca, and on http://www.raincoast.com/harrypotter. The grand prize is a trip to Edinburgh to meet J.K. Rowling and to
participate in the launch weekend events.

Other contests for Canadian residents:

Globe and Mail: Harry Potter and the Secret Password in the Globe Contest; look for the secret password in the paper every day from May 30 to June 24. Click on the link and enter the password. Plus, collect the secret letter from each daily password to decode the 23 letter secret message and you’ll get 23 bonus entries for even more chances to win.

Chapters/Indigo’s “Get it First” Contest: 1st prize is a trip to Edinburgh Castle to meet J.K. Rowling; 2nd prize is a trip to St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador, to receive
the FIRST copy available in North America at a special Harry Potter Party at Chapters in St. John’s. The copy will have a special bookplate autographed by J.K. Rowling.
