The Scotsman reports that a granite plaque is set to be placed on Nicolson Street in Edinburgh to commemorate the place where J.K. Rowling “famously went to work on her books while still a struggling single mother, as she couldn’t afford to heat her flat.”
The plaque will feature a photograph of Jo, and will “create a ‘Writers Corner’ in the heart of the Capital, with memorials to Robert Louis Stevenson and William McGonagall nearby.”
Thanks, Elizabeth!
