Oscar Watch: GoF in Consideration for Visual Effects Award

The Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences announced today their list of seven films in consideration for "Achievement in Visual Effects" and Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is one of the films included on this list. Academy members are to screen a fifteen minute clip of each of the films, and then the list will be narrowed down to three films. The final nominations for the Academy Awards will be announced on January 31st, 2006. The Oscars will then be presented on March 5th, 2006.
