Box Office Mojo reports that The Chronicles of Narnia and Syriana ousted Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire from its three-week stint at the top of the charts. Potter earned about $10.3 million this weekend, while Narnia took in $67 million and the critically acclaimed but slow-burning Syriana $12 million.
HP’s total US gross is about $250 million; its worldwide total is now up above $658 million, according to MSNBC. That $658 million is more than a third of Sorcerer’s Stone‘s total international gross to date and about 20 percent of the combined total of all HP films’ makings combined.
