The Hindu has an interview with Shefali Cowduhri and Afshan Azad, who play Parvati and Padma Patil in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. Both girls are second-generation Bangladeshis living in London, and both are film novices. Shefali has nurtured an interest acting and says:
"I was always interested in drama and even took it as a course earlier. So when this opportunity of acting in a film came my way, I was only too ready to take it."Afshan, though, auditioned as a lark:
