Praise comes from Slate Magazine for PoA. The reviewer notes that “he contrasts are higher, the blacks deeper, and Cuarón irises in and out of many scenes like a silent Expressionist master. The colors reflect a new uncertainty…”
And Salon Magazine‘s take is that “Alfonso Cuaron finally decants the essence of J.K. Rowling’s work and brings us one of the greatest fantasy films of all time.”

Also, The Onion’s AV Club‘s take is that From the start, Prisoner Of Azkaban taps into the neato fantasies that have inspired the Potter cult, but it never overemphasizes them, and it relegates many bits of magic to background noise. For the first time, the non-converted may actually see what all the fuss is about.

The Leaky Cauldron is not associated with J.K. Rowling, Warner Bros., or any of the individuals or companies associated with producing and publishing Harry Potter books and films.
