Harry Potter Movies Make “Ultimate Film” List

The British Film Institute has compiled a list of the 100 “Ultimate Films” based on UK Cinema admissions estimates. The first two Harry Potter films made this list. Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone was ranked at number 11, with an estimated attendance of 17.56 million. Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets was ranked at number 24, with a estimated attendance 14.18 million. The number one spot was given to the classic Gone With the Wind, with an estimated attendance of 35 million. Channel 4 in England broadcast a program about it which was hosted by John Cleese, and you can see the whole list here.
