Are You Ready? Scholastic Begins the CountdownBooks
Well, fellow witches & wizards (and sneaky muggles) - it begins. Over the next month you'll be seeing hundreds of articles about one of the largest launches in the history of the book - TLC even has something due out this week to celebrate this massive undertaking.
Scholastic has announced a huge marketing campaign including billboard promotions, four Major League Baseball teams, thousands of midnight events around the country and an incredible amount of promotional material: three million mini bumper stickers; 400,000 buttons; 50,000 window clings; 9,500 easelbacks and 24,000 standees with a countdown clock. (Editor's Note: Kudos to the fan who can get me one of each of these.)
