Harris Family on Dumbledore

The family of late Irish actor Richard Harris are urging the makers of Harry Potter to pass the part of Professor Dumbledore to his drinking friend Peter O'Toole. ...Harris' brother Noel says, "Dicky (Richard) made the role his own. He will be a hard act to follow. Peter was a great, great friend of Dicky's for most of his life. And he has similar qualities on screen. Our family would be delighted if he was offered the part." ...[more at the link]Just a note: the quotes do not preclude the possibility that the idea was presented to the family and these were their comments - that it would be a good idea if it happened, but not that they're starting a campaign for O'Toole. In fact, the quotes seem to support that they're responding to a query about O'Toole rather than bringing it up on their own - read the whole thing to decide for yourself. :-)
