Thanks to everyone who sent us this article regarding Bloomsbury Publishing's inability to announce a date for the launch of the fifth "Harry Potter" book. (BBC news is also carrying the story.)

Website Bloomberg.co.uk says that "the fifth book in the Harry Potter book series won't be published this year because author J.K. Rowling hasn't submitted the manuscript yet."

Norwegian conservationists are worried Harry Potter could threaten the country's snowy owl population. (From Ananova.)
