Thanks to reader Sandy:

Today my family attended a special concert for children in by the Cambridge Philharmonic Orchestra which included the national premiere of John Williams' Symphonic Suite from Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (Here is a link from the local paper ).

It was really an enjoyable event with a magical master of ceremonies and most of the children in costume. My six year old daughter Katie had a great time. We knew the music well from the film and the soundtrack CD but hearing it from a live orchestra was especially impressive. I have no idea why Cambridge was lucky enough to be the location for the premiere performance, but I'm glad that it was.
